If you have content on a news site (or any website), I recommend using Awesome Screenshot to capture an image of that content as it appears online.
Awesome Screenshot is a free browser extension that creates a PNG of everything that’s happening in the browser window you currently have open.
To add Awesome Screenshot to your browser, go to its extension page in Chrome or Firefox and then click the Add to Chrome or Download Now button. An Awesome Screenshot icon will appear in the upper right area of your browser. Click the icon to select the area of the webpage you’d like to capture (for news stories, I recommend Capture entire page.)
Having a screenshot of your online content is the modern equivalent of keeping a newspaper clipping of your story in a shoebox. If the website where your content lives ever goes offline, you’ll have a PNG that you can use as proof positive that your story did in fact live on a website at one time.
